Do you remember your childhood daydreams? You know the ones that you rehearsed over and over in your mind, extrapolating all kinds of outcomes that came to mind, then refocused on the ones that you liked best? Those daydreams weren't just children's games but a co-creation of the life you imagined for yourself as aligned with Source. Aligned with your true inner self, your highest intelligence, intuition. What happened to those daydreams?
Children are in Alpha or higher states of mind like Theta and Delta until about 14 years of age. During these years, they are much more attuned to Source than 99.9% of adults. They are literally downloading and co-creating their life through their daydreams, which they begin to lose sight of as the requirements of school and parents wean them off this 'unacceptable' practice of daydreaming to focus on 'working hard' and taking lots and lots of action to get small results over and over again. Then those children get 'real jobs' to pay the bills, play it safe, and all they think about after that is retiring so they can enjoy their lives again. Is this what you want in your life?
Lily Meola, a 27-year-old singer-songwriter, wrote this moving song "Don't Give Up Your Daydream." It reminds me of how important living my daydreams are.
Living the life you desire is never a straight line. There are obstacles and rerouting throughout the journey, just like a road trip. You have to stop for gas, may take a wrong exit, or forget something you'll have to replace, but each situation is designed by a higher intelligence to bring you closer and closer to being aligned with your true purpose. As children, this was natural, as adults, we must rebuild the natural connection to Source we lost. Enjoying this journey and knowing it's bringing you closer to your purpose can only be accelerated by DAYDREAMING.
Every 17 seconds of uncontradicted, pure thought is equal to 2000 hours of action or physical work. Uncontradicted, pure thought. No wandering. No doubting.
For most of us when we begin this process about 8 seconds is doable. So be patient and build yourself up to the 17 seconds. Avoid an alarm clock. Instead, practice during your meditation. Give a few minutes and keep track of your experience of it. Allow yourself to get better and better no matter how long it takes. Then one day when you have noticed that many things are aligning, you can measure if you like.
So tonight, listen to the song and daydream along with it with uncontradicted, pure thought. No wandering. No doubting-. And most importantly, have FUN :-)
Wishing you abundance, joy, and ease,
